Assemblage
The Fruit Bowl is a combination of our network, connectors, story telling and grow your own offers. This approach draws on all of the resources from across communities, in order to increase resilience, aspirations for young people, and reduce social isolation through harnessing the community spirit and relationships in a place.
The Fruit Bowl will achieve this by using the Spaces of Hope approach to curate projects that share stories from the community, build a vision for a healthier, more hopeful and connected future, and connect this into public, health or faith based systems in a way that breeds trust and good practical fruit that lasts!
In practice this means we will build understandings of different cultures, beliefs, hopes and dreams, share food, run retreats for all ages, whilst delivering tangible outcomes including the Grow your Own Design Lab, a community recipe book for increasing health, hope and connectedness, Community Soup events, and the final piece of the puzzle, the Fruit Bowl itself. The Fruit Bowl is the strategic linkage with systems, vis the local GPs practice, that allows us to deliver Spaces of Hope on prescription.
We know that there is a need for greater social connection in our communities. The Spaces of Hope Fruit Bowl is a whole system approach to combatting it.
